Artfact, LLC, the world’s premier online marketplace for fine art, antiques and collectibles sold at live auction seeks a dedicated interns to assist with the maintenance of various daily tasks.

• Career Exploration:
Involvement in day to day operations of the social media marketing and search engine optimization at a small internet company. Access to worldwide auction sales, current art market trends and historical information. Develop an understanding of social media navigation and management using Facebook, Twitter, Quora, and more. Artfact clients include galleries, auction houses, museums and collectors.
• Skill Development:
Strengthen marketing skills through working with social media and other internet specific marketing trends. Strengthen web-based research skills through researching artists, biographies and web resources. Develop analytic skills by reviewing and tracking social media based traffic increases, and analyzing industry trends . Write marketing and press materials. Build team skills as a member of a small department. Develop the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Academic-related Learning:
Exposure to thousands of artists from all periods and styles of art and design. Great potential for research material to supplement class projects. As an Artfact intern you will receive a one-year Professional Membership to the Artfact database valued at $2,000 at the successful conclusion of your internship.
Duties:

95% of time will be spent on the computer

Projects will vary and may be ongoing over several days or weeks.

Daily activities could involve:

Developing content for social media based marketing
Posting auction catalogs to Facebook
Creating unique and highly interactive discussions on Twitter and Facebook
Writing and editing of press materials
Creating Search Engine Optimized content to boost traffic
QAing newly created marketing efforts to ensure optimization and functionality
Scanning upcoming auctions to learn about social media and market trends
Web based research for ongoing projects
Lunches with Artfact staff and other interns
Discussions with in-house curator
Field trip to an auction
