One-Year Full-Time Visiting Faculty Appointment with Benefits

Program:

The Liberal Arts Program provides the general academic courses required for the B.A. and B.F.A. degrees. Please refer to our webpage at http://www.ringling.edu/LA.38.0.html, for more information about the Liberal Arts Program.

Included among the Duties and Responsibilities of this position are: Teaching freshman through upper level courses in Film and Narrative, History of Media Design and/or History of Illustration. This is a one-year visiting position that will not require committee work.

Required qualifications for the position will include evidence of:

  • PhD. or ABD in Art History, Theory or a related field.
  • College level teaching that may include TA experience

Preferred qualifications include evidence of:

  • The ability to communicate theory in an accessible manner and integrate it with the history of art and design
  • Familiarity with digital technologies in teaching or teaching online
  • Ability to teach art history from a global perspective.
