A full-time position for an assistant is currently available in the Curatorial Department working for a curator who focuses   on early to mid-20th Century American Art.  Responsibilities:  Daily administrative support; assist with facilitating museum acquisitions and coordinating exhibitions; liaison between curator and internal and external contacts; typing (manuscripts, correspondence, loan forms, checklists); respond to heavy volume of telephone calls and emails; extensive scholarly research; obtain transparencies, reproduction permissions, and necessary back-up information for publications; follow-up on loan requests.

Job requirements:   B.A. in art history or fine arts (knowledge of early to mid-20th century American art preferred); M.A. preferred; 3 years of experience in museum and/or galleries; excellent administrative and organizational abilities; strong writing, research and communication skills; ability to handle several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines; MS Office.
