10-Month, Tenure Track Position

ANTICIPATED STARTING DATE: Fall 2012

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Art History or a related discipline required. College level teaching experience, professional experience in the field and experience teaching courses such as Art History Survey I & II, Modern and Contemporary Art History, and demonstrated ability to teach Art History on-line preferred. Core skills required include: excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated involvement in support of diversity; demonstrated ability to work with multiple constituencies and demonstrated experience with technology as a teaching tool. An understanding of the mission of the community college is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching courses in Art History; working with other faculty and staff on curriculum development – General Education Core; student recruitment and advising; significant involvement in student endeavors; serving on department, division and college-wide committees, and other responsibilities related to a full-time, tenure track, faculty position in the community college system.

MINIMUM SALARY: $47,705 approximate annual; excellent benefits.
