Bronx Museum of the Arts, smARTpower program Internship unpaid

Unique opportunity to help build a new program from the ground up. smARTpower is a US State Department funded program administered by the Bronx Museum that will send 15 artist abroad to 15 countries to create community-based art projects. Program Manager is seeking a passionate and committed intern interested in learning all aspects of the organization and administration of this ambitious new international program.

Ideal candidates will have an MA in art history or curatorial studies, or be enrolled in an MA program. Requirements include:

Painstaking attention to detail
Absolute reliability
Excellent written and oral communication skills A high degree of maturity and professionalism Careful discretion with all proprietary program and contact information Knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Social networking proficiency a plus.

Duties will include:

-Working on the logistics of the selection process, and assisting in research and planning for each of the 15 artist projects and program sites.
-Research and generation of communication tools and database information for selection panel and artists.
-Creation of excel spreadsheets
-Compiling panelist information packages -Compiling information for host sites and artists
