The Francis J. Greenburger Collection and the Time Equities Inc. Art-in-Buildings Program seeks interns for summer 2012. The Francis J. Greenburger Collection is a private collection of modern and contemporary art based in New York City. The Time Equities Inc. Art-in-Buildings program is an initiative that brings original works of art to non-traditional spaces in the interest of promoting emerging and under-recognized artists and creating more enjoyable living and work spaces.
Interns will report directly to the curator and will assist with research, press releases and mailings, exhibition installation, and wall labels, among others.
A successful applicant will be an undergraduate student with a declared major in an arts-related field such as art history, fine arts, arts administration, or visual studies. Interns will have excellent organizational, written and oral skills, attention to detail, a deep interest in contemporary art, enthusiasm for their work, patience, and a sense of humor.
The internship will be 10 – 15 hours/ week (2-3 days) beginning the first week of June and ending the middle of August (beginning and end dates are flexible). The internship includes a modest stipend.
