Gainesville State College invites applications for Director, Art Gallery with an anticipated starting date of August 1, 2012. The Art Program is within the School of Humanities and Fine Arts.

• Installing artwork in gallery and off-campus exhibitions
• Promoting the Art Gallery and its events to the community
• Coordination with schools and departments to create themed shows
• Coordination with Oconee campus and installation of exhibits there
• Recruitment of exhibitors
• Performing discipline specific responsibilities and duties as assigned

• M.A. in Art required; M.F.A. in Art preferred
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an academic program while maintaining excellent and effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff
• Ability to teach courses in Art Appreciation and Art History

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
